Young and sweet..only 17

June 24, 1998. The day I was born. 2015 is the year that I turned the year of being a Dancing Queen as Abba would sing. "You are a Dancing Queen, young and sweet, only seventeen." (That's sounds cheesy.)

This year's birthday, my mom decided to try something all of us haven't tried. Yup, my mother is our official party planner. She decided to have my birthday dinner at Sakura Shabu Shabu. It is a Japanese restaurant where you actually cooked your food in a pot! The cooking first before eating your food is so fun and exciting! At first, I was actually having a hard time because I'm not sure how to season my broth. The food was amazing. Everything was perfect! We will definitely go back to that restaurant.

For OOTN, I wore a red corset dress and my fancy necklace from Charlotte Russe. Nude heels from Cathy Jean and crown from Claire's.

Truly a night to remember. I can't wait to start my year as a 17-year old.

CREAM

ICE CREAM is the word that we all scream for when it's summer time. To fight the summer wave, we digest a cold, sweet dessert. This calorie-dense, guilty pleasure, little scoops of heaven become our bestfriend this time of season. Every taste of it replenishes our happiness that the sun usually depleats from us.

Luckily, I have discovered a new ice cream shop in town! CREAM. The cream can be a competition for MILK of Los Angeles. Their Ice Cream Cookie sandwich is amazing! What I like about it is that they give you a choice of what type of cookie sandwich you like. They have a vegan or gluten-free cookies. If you don't want a cookie they can make you a brownie ice cream sandwich. How awesome is that!

The Ice Cream Taco is just pure heaven. The taco is not actually an actual taco. It is made of hard, tasty waffles. They'll also give you three scoops of ice cream (your choice) and two toppings with your choice. For only, $4.99!

Now, the actual ice cream. I might say the ice creams that I've ordered are pure delight. They are so good! Their salted caramel, cookies and creme, chocoholic, strawberry shortcake, and cookie dough flavored ice creams are scoops of heaven!

I give this ice cream shop a thumbs up! A worthy of one's time and money.

Go Light

Summer finally begins. You know what that means? Heat waves are about to occur. Living mostly my whole life in Cali I already know how to bear and survive this treacherous heat. My advice: go neutral. It is all about the type of clothes you wear AND the color your actually put on your body. It is better to wear neutral and light colors in summer so that your clothes will reflect the sunlight rather than absorbing it. Refrain from wearing dark colors, this will make you feel warmer in a n already dreadful heat.

I know summer means tan skin and beachy hair. However, you guys still need to protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun. Always wear sunscreen! To be more protected, wear a hat and sunglasses. Skin cancer is one of the popular cancers in the U.S. You don't want to regret it at the end. Just be cautious.

In this style post, I wore a peach halter eyelash lace top and a navy shorts all from Forever 21. The neutral heels are from Cathy Jean.

Pink is the new black

I know I haven't posted anything for the past months (?) That is why I am so excited when Prom was coming. Because that means, less work and more time to blog!

Looking for the perfect prom dress for my J/S Prom was such a pain in the buttocks! There are just so many gorgeous dresses! Also, very expensive! Most of the dresses that I kept on falling in love with were over $100, and there's no way I am spending that much money for a dress that I'm only going to wear for one night.

It was just plain difficult to choose THE dress. Finding the perfect style, the perfect color, etc.

Thank goodness! A week before Prom, we decided to go to Westminister mall because we've heard there's a windsor in that mall. There I've had find the PERFECT dress. It is just so gorgeous! Instantly, I fell in love with it. Even though, the dress is in a bright color and very simple. I love it.

I wore a sparkly pink, sheath gown with a side slit. Simple but classy. The pink color gives the gown a youthful vibe to it since the gown is very form-fitting. I love this dress because it has the maturity because of the shape and style, and also it has the youthful aura because of the color and glitters. AND I only got it for $60!! Such a great deal right!

|Dress from Windsor| |Shoes and earrings from Forever 21| |L Necklace from Kevin's Jeweller|

It doesn't matter how much the gown is. As long as you carry it with confidence and grace, any dress will look like an expensive one. It all depends on how one carry the clothes. Confidence is key!

Coachella

Since it is Coachella season, I've decided to create a look for it. I wore a much simpler bohemian look than what people usually wear at Coachella. I have to downgrade the look a tad since I'm not really at Coachella, besides, I'm not actually that comfortable with the bohemian look thing. Since my style is a more dressy and girly kind of look while experimenting once in a while. Well, this is one of the days that I don't want to wear a dress. I want to look more of a free-spirited type of gal today. Like I said before, it all depends on the mood.

If anyone is wondering what the heck is Coachella, well, it's a music and arts festival that's held at Indio, California. It is one of the famous music festivals where people can be free and happy. It kinda represent the 60s in a way. Make love not war. In Coachella, you just enjoy the music and love.

Up in the mountains

Part 2 of our fun Los Angeles itinerary! We went to the Griffith Observatory. Since it was my first time, I was really excited! However, we were parked really far away from the observatory. We had a freakin' long walk, worst part of it, it was uphill. Thank the Lord I wasn't that sweaty after that tiring walk, but believe me I was out of breath after. I got to improve my endurance. Adding to difficultness of walking uphill was the scorching sun. The sun was completely beaming right at us. I was actually surprised that I didn't sweat that much. While walking I was literally nagging at my uncle for not parking closer to the observatory. I was almost losing hope of having great pictures since I'm all sweaty and tired for all the excercise that I was having with that 15 minute walk.

Finally, we were up there! Let me tell you guys it was worth the walk! The observatory was amazing plus it has an amazing view of the whole LA.

Fortunately, I only sweat on my forehead so my makeup wasn't ruin that much. Thanks to my uncle with his photography skills that he made me kinda look good on all of the pictures.

After touring the great Griffith Observatory, we went to see the Hollywood sign. We drove to the mountains for 15 minutes to go where our car can possibly be closest to the sign. Again, this is my first time to visit the Hollywood Sign this close I usually just admire it from afar.

Anyways, this is a more relaxing spot that we went since we don't have to walk uphill like we did at the Griffith Observatory.

Hope you like the pictures :)

Oh My Beverly!

You guys can assume that I love going to Beverly Hills. Everytime I drive up to Los Angeles, I have to take a quick stop at BH (MY HAVEN). This trip was so much fun! My uncle and I spent the whole day bonding, and ofcourse, taking pictures! It's funny how my uncle and I try to spot atleast one celebrity, unfortunately, we did not find any. I love how we became "detectives" how every person that walks past us was "that might be a celebrity?".

Our first stop was at Urth Caffé. It was my first time eating at the cafe and will definitely go back! It was so worth it! It's heaven on Urth! (Get it? Hehe)

(I recommend this three-layer cheesecake! I feel like heaven was in my mouth when I was eating it.)

Our next stop was the Beverly Hills Garden Park. It was so schorching hot out there. We literally showered ourself with spray-on sunscreen because we don't want to get sunburn. Anyways, I stucked with the sun and pose like it wasn't 100 degrees weather at all.

Our next stop was walking down Rodeo Drive which was not that great of a plan since it was scorching hot! Rodeo Drive is probably the best street ever! All the amazing brands are there: Louis Vuitton, Tiffany and Co., Chanel, Valentino, YSL, and a lot more. I love walking down there even though most of the time I just window shop. The ambiance of Rodeo Drive is just so relaxing for me.
